When I was growing up, my mom would often make fried apple pies and they have always been one of my favorite desserts. So, recently, when fall began to present itself, I kept thinking about the pies (or tarts) and couldn't stop!
So, Halloween night, my mom and our friends Robin and Brad came over and Mama led the girls in making the pies while the guys manned the door for candy hand-outs!

What a coincidence - I was just talking about these naughty little tarts a few days ago and the fact that it had been way too long since I had had any! Perhaps you could include these on the menu for T'giving? Pretty please? V
